Moon of Rajab Sighted in Pakistan

Islamabad: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has announced that the moon of Rajab-ul-Murajjab has been sighted in Pakistan.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee was held under the chairmanship of Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabeer Azad, while zonal and district moon sighting committees also convened meetings at their respective locations across the country.

After the meeting, the Chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announced that the moon of Rajab had been sighted, and the first day of Rajab will be observed on December 22.

The notification further stated that Shab-e-Meraj, which falls on the 27th of Rajab, will be observed on January 16.
