Security Guard Dies in Karachi While Filming TikTok Video
Karachi:A tragic incident in Malir’s Gulshan-e-Hadeed area claimed the life of a security guard while he was reportedly filming a TikTok video.
According to the Karachi Police spokesperson, the deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Nawaz, son of Haq Nawaz. Police said Nawaz was allegedly shooting a video for TikTok when his firearm discharged accidentally, killing him on the spot.
Following the incident, the alleged TikTok video made by the security guard, along with CCTV footage, surfaced. Both show him handling heavy weaponry. In the video, Nawaz can be seen placing the loaded firearm near his neck, after which a fatal shot is fired. Additional gunfire sounds are also audible in the footage.
Steel Town police station SHO Aslam stated that it has not yet been determined whether the incident was a suicide or an accidental discharge while filming. The police have confirmed that investigations are ongoing. The security guard’s body has been transferred to Jinnah Hospital for legal procedures. Authorities say the full circumstances of the incident will become clear after further investigation.
