Professor Dr. Jalaluddin Achakzai Elected Youngest President of Pakistan Cardiac Society

Quetta – Renowned cardiologist Professor Dr. Jalaluddin Achakzai has been elected unopposed as the President of the Pakistan Cardiac Society (PCS) during its annual elections, becoming the youngest head in the history of the society. His election has drawn congratulations from cardiologists and trainees across the country.

Members from major medical centers nationwide praised Dr. Achakzai for his exceptional contributions to scientific research, dedication to cardiology, and long-standing efforts to advance the field in Balochistan. His leadership is expected to play a decisive and effective role in shaping the future of PCS.

During the ceremony, Dr. Achakzai was also awarded the prestigious FPCS (Fellow of Pakistan Cardiac Society) fellowship, recognizing his professional achievements, scientific contributions, and significant role in promoting cardiology at the national level.

Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Achakzai expressed gratitude, stating that the responsibility was entrusted to him by the grace of Allah and the confidence of his seniors and colleagues. He vowed to strengthen the society, enhance scientific standards, and expand cardiac care facilities across Pakistan.

His election is also seen as a milestone for Balochistan, as he becomes the first FPCS fellow and PCS president from the province, establishing a new tradition of provincial representation at the national level.
