Chaman Administration Demands Pakistani Citizenship Documents from JUI-F Leader Maulana Salahuddin Ayubi

Chaman:The district administration of Chaman has issued a notice demanding former Member of the National Assembly and senior Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) leader Maulana Salahuddin Ayubi to provide proof of his Pakistani nationality. The notice, sent by the Assistant Commissioner of Chaman, claims that there are reports suggesting that Ayubi may be an Afghan citizen and is allegedly residing in Pakistan unlawfully.

The notice further instructed Ayubi to appear before the authorities on June 19 and present his Pakistani citizenship documents. It warned that failure to provide the required documents could lead to his deportation to Afghanistan.

This development has raised questions about the legal status of prominent political figures and the potential political motivations behind such actions. If Ayubi fails to produce valid documents, it could not only impact his political career but also create ripples within his party, JUI-F, regarding the legality of its leadership.

Authorities have emphasized that this move is in line with the national security and immigration laws of Pakistan, though it has yet to be seen whether it will escalate into a larger political issue.
