ECP Halts Notification of Bilal Chaudhry’s Victory in Election Code Violation Case

Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has suspended the victory notification of Bilal Chaudhry, brother of Minister of State Talal Chaudhry, in a case related to the violation of the election code of conduct.

According to *Dunya News*, the ECP bench, headed by the Chief Election Commissioner, heard the case involving allegations against Talal Chaudhry for breaching the election code.

During the hearing, the ECP ordered that Bilal Chaudhry’s notification be withheld. The Chief Election Commissioner stated, *“We are not disqualifying Bilal Chaudhry at this stage; we are only stopping the issuance of the victory notification.”*

Commission officials further informed the bench that Talal Chaudhry had indeed violated the election code of conduct and action should be taken accordingly.
