Balochistan ‘Trapped and Isolated’ as Internet, Borders, Trade, and Rail Shutdowns Fuel Public Anger and Frustration: Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman

QUETTA – Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman Baloch, Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and MPA, sharply criticized the current situation in the province during a meeting held at the Provincial Secretariat to finalize preparations for a public gathering.
He said that the people of Balochistan are “trapped and isolated,” deprived of their rights, authority, and security. The shutdown of internet services, borders, trade, and the railway has left citizens facing severe distress, anger, and despair. He further condemned the influence of corruption and commission mafias, which have failed to address the problems and hardships of the public.
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman added that while graveyards and hospitals are active, cities remain deserted, and the overall system of life is paralyzed. He emphasized that Jamaat-e-Islami is committed to highlighting and resolving the issues of these distressed people. The meeting also finalized arrangements for transportation, accommodation, and organizational matters for participants attending the upcoming provincial gathering.
