Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti Calls for Care and Welfare of People with Disabilities

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Fawzan has stressed the importance of caring for, supporting and protecting people with disabilities, describing it as an important part of Islamic teachings.
According to details, the Grand Mufti made the remarks while speaking with officials of a center for people with disabilities in the historic city of Taif.
Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Fawzan said caring for people with special needs helps promote compassion, mutual support and empathy within society.
He emphasized that Islamic teachings encourage kindness, compassion and a sense of responsibility toward vulnerable and special-needs members of society.
The Grand Mufti urged society to ensure proper care, welfare and support for people with disabilities in accordance with Islamic values.
