Imran Khan Calls Pakistan Army “Backbone,” Urges Neutrality, Says Alima Khan

Rawalpindi: Alima Khan, sister of PTI founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan, stated that Imran Khan had conveyed in a meeting that the Pakistan Army is the backbone and should remain neutral.
Speaking to media representatives on the occasion of her arrival at Adiala Jail, where PTI Chairman and ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan’s sister Alima Khan said that our lawyers were not allowed to enter today. The police informed the judge that the lawyers did not arrive, and the judge adjourned the hearing and left the courtroom.
Alima Khan said our meeting was with the founder of PTI. Lawyers were not allowed to enter. The control is in the hands of the colonel of Adiala Jail. Imran Khan said that the PML-N and PPP have lost morally. The current government wants PTI and the army to be on the same page.
She revealed that Imran Khan said the Pakistan Army is the backbone. We do not want a confrontation between the army and the people. If there is no rule of law and democracy in the country, how will the country progress? Businesses are ruined in the country, and people have left the country.
PTI founder said the army should remain neutral. Alima Khan further revealed that Imran Khan said CCTV footage from May 9 should be released. It will be known who is responsible for May 9. Innocent people should be released, and cases should be filed against the real culprits.
