Gas Explosions Turn Routine in Quetta: Dozens Killed in 10 Days as Authorities Remain Silent — Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party

**QUETTA (Daily Qudrat):** The **Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party (PNAP)** has strongly condemned the recurring **gas-related explosions in Quetta**, holding the gas company and local administration responsible for criminal negligence and inaction.

In a statement issued from the party’s provincial secretariat, PNAP expressed **deep sorrow and outrage** over the recent tragic incident in **Chandni Chowk, Satellite Town**, where a powerful gas blast — allegedly caused by **poor maintenance and sudden gas load-shedding** — resulted in the **death of a man named Asif Khan** and **critical injuries to his wife**, who later **succumbed to her wounds** in a Karachi hospital after five days of treatment.

The statement lamented that this tragedy had left **two innocent children orphaned**, calling it “a heartbreaking reminder of the gas company’s continued criminal negligence.”

The PNAP spokesperson said that **gas explosions have become a grim routine in Quetta**, claiming that **dozens of lives have been lost in the past ten days alone** due to **faulty gas pipelines and mismanagement**.

Referring to another deadly blast at **Usman Shaheed Chowk (Old Bhusa Mandi Chowk)** a few days earlier, where **eight people, including women and children, lost their lives**, the party accused the gas company of “gross irresponsibility, lack of planning, and complete disregard for human life.”

PNAP further criticized the **provincial administration’s silence**, stating that despite repeated incidents and loss of innocent lives, **no serious action or accountability measures** have been initiated against those responsible.
