Woman Allegedly Assaulted Inside Police Station in Mirpurkhas
MIRPURKHAS: A shocking incident has come to light in **Mirpurkhas, Sindh**, where a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted inside a **police station** after she went there to seek help.
According to a statement from the **district police spokesperson**, the woman submitted a complaint to the **Deputy Inspector General (DIG)**, stating that she had visited the **Mehran Police Station** to report the disappearance of her daughter but was instead subjected to sexual assault.
Police confirmed that a **rape case has been registered** on the woman’s complaint. Following the incident, **Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr. Sameer Noor Channa** immediately suspended the **Station House Officer (SHO) Mir Khadim Talpur** and ordered an inquiry into the matter.
Authorities said **medical samples** from both the SHO and the complainant have been collected and sent for forensic testing. Further action will be taken once the **detailed medical report** is received.
