Pakistan’s Exports to U.S. Rise by 10.4% in First Eight Months of Fiscal Year

ISLAMABAD:Pakistan recorded a 10.4% increase in exports to the United States during the first eight months of the current fiscal year. Overall exports to North America rose by 9.7%, reaching $4.2 billion, according to official data.
The growth has been largely attributed to the supportive environment provided under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), which has helped boost demand for Pakistani products in the U.S. market.
Textiles and garments accounted for 94% of the total exports to the U.S., highlighting the dominant role of the sector in driving export performance.
The increase in exports to the U.S. is being viewed as a positive development for Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves. Trade policy reforms and facilitation by SIFC are cited as key factors behind this surge.
Officials have described the revival of the export sector, supported by SIFC initiatives, as a significant step toward sustainable economic growth.
