Influential Landlord Accused of Brutally Torturing Camel in Sukkur’s Saleh Pat

Sukkur:In a shocking case of animal cruelty, an influential landlord in Saleh Pat, Sukkur, allegedly subjected a camel to severe torture after it entered his fields to drink water.
According to the camel’s owner, the landlord broke the animal’s leg in anger, tied it to a tractor, dragged it across the field, and repeatedly struck it on the face with sticks.
When the injured camel was taken to a hospital for treatment, doctors reportedly refused to provide medical assistance.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah took notice of the incident and sought a report from the Sukkur mayor. He said such treatment of animals would not be tolerated under any circumstances and directed the District Council chairman to ensure proper medical care for the camel.
Meanwhile, police registered a case on the complaint of the camel’s owner. Officials confirmed that one of the three nominated suspects has been arrested, while raids are ongoing to apprehend the remaining two.
