TikToker Samia Hijab Explains Why She Forgave Ex-Fiancé Hassan Zahid
Islamabad: Popular TikToker and social media influencer Samia Hijab has revealed the reasons behind forgiving her former fiancé, Hassan Zahid, stating that her decision was made “for the sake of Allah” and on the request of Hassan’s mother.
In a video shared on Instagram, Samia said she raised her voice to stand up for her rights, like many other women who confront injustice. While she faced criticism online, she noted that the support of nearly 75% of people encouraged her to stay strong.
Samia explained that after the last court hearing, where Hassan Zahid could have been sentenced, she chose to withdraw the case at the request of his mother. “One person’s mistake should not punish their entire family,” she said.
She added that Zahid admitted his mistakes and retracted all allegations against her. Following this, his mother reached out, thanked her, and requested that she give a sworn statement in court to formally end the matter. Samia complied, submitting a declaration that she was withdrawing the case on the condition that Zahid would never harm her or her family again.
Earlier, on September 1, Samia accused Zahid of attempting to kidnap, assault, and repeatedly blackmail her, prompting Islamabad police to arrest him and register cases under multiple charges. After initial hearings and Zahid’s remand, Samia confirmed that she has now forgiven him and settled the matter.
