RAW Network Busted in Karachi, Key Arrests Made: Sindh Police

Karachi:Sindh Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) officials have revealed the exposure of an espionage and terror network allegedly run by India’s intelligence agency RAW. In a press conference, Additional IG CTD Sindh Azaad Khan, DIG Ghulam Azfar Mahesar, and SSP Irfan Bahadur confirmed major breakthroughs and arrests linked to the network.
According to the police, the investigation began after the targeted killing of Razaullah Nizamani, an official of the Pakistan Markazi Muslim League, on May 18, 2025, in Matli, Badin district. CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts led to the identification of three suspects.
Further probe revealed that the murder was orchestrated by an Indian agent named Sanjay Kumar, alias “Fauji”, who is based in a Gulf country. He allegedly hired Salman, a resident of Sheikhupura, by offering a large sum of money to carry out the assassination.
Additional IG Azaad Khan stated that Salman traveled to Hyderabad to meet with his accomplices and then proceeded to Matli to execute the plan. Following the attack, he fled the country via Karachi Airport to Nepal.
In subsequent operations, police arrested suspect Arsalan on August 17, and Talha and Umair on August 22. Weapons and mobile phones were recovered from their possession.
The CTD officials also disclosed that RAW collaborated with a separatist group to facilitate the mission, and highlighted that the Indian intelligence agency has been involved in several terrorist incidents in Pakistan in the past as well.
Authorities are continuing their investigation, warning of further arrests and revelations in the coming days.
