PTA Introduces Free Service to Protect Users from Unwanted Mobile Data Charges

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced relief for mobile users परेशान by unexpected data charges, introducing a free service to help protect their balance.
In a statement, PTA informed users that once their data bundle expires or is fully consumed, continued internet usage may result in expensive Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) charges, leading to unexpected deduction of balance.
To address this issue, PTA highlighted that all mobile networks now offer a free “Balance Save” or PAYG blocker service. This feature automatically disables internet access once the data bundle ends, preventing additional charges and safeguarding the user’s balance.
Users can activate the service through the following codes:
Jazz: *275#
Zong: *4004#
Ufone: *6611#
Telenor: *342#
The PTA spokesperson reiterated that the authority remains committed to protecting consumer interests and ensuring transparency in telecom services across the country.
