Bloody Reign of Water Tankers Continues on Karachi Streets: 7-Year-Old Boy Killed, CCTV Footage Shows Tanker Fleeing Scene

Karachi: The relentless danger posed by reckless water tankers in Karachi has claimed yet another innocent life. A tragic incident occurred in Orangi Town, Sector 11½, where a speeding water tanker ran over a 7-year-old boy, Arsalan, son of Raees, leading to his untimely death.
According to rescue officials, the child’s body was immediately shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital following the accident.
The fatal incident took place near Khaleel Market, close to Wilayat Shah Baba Mazar. Witnesses say the water tanker, moving at high speed, crushed the young boy as he was walking along the street, and then fled the scene without stopping.
Following the incident, enraged residents of the area took to the streets, blocking the road in protest and demanding the immediate arrest of the driver responsible.
CCTV footage of the accident has now surfaced, clearly showing the water tanker fleeing rapidly down the street after the crash. The footage also captures a child and a man chasing after the tanker, with the child tearfully pointing toward the fleeing vehicle, calling the attention of nearby residents.
The incident has once again highlighted the deadly menace of unregulated and reckless water tankers on Karachi’s roads, with locals calling for urgent government intervention and stricter enforcement of traffic laws.
