Former Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Joins Opposition Alliance “Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Aeen Pakistan”

ISLAMABAD: Former Senator Mushtaq Ahmad, who recently parted ways with Jamaat-e-Islami and was earlier released from Israeli custody, has announced his political future by joining the opposition alliance *Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Aeen Pakistan* (Movement for the Protection of the Constitution of Pakistan).
According to details, instead of aligning with a single party, Mushtaq Ahmad chose to become part of the multi-party alliance formed to safeguard the Constitution.
He held a detailed meeting with alliance leaders Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Allama Nasir Abbas, during which they discussed the prevailing political situation, constitutional supremacy, and national unity. Mushtaq Ahmad expressed full agreement with the alliance’s manifesto and pledged his support.
Formed in April this year, the alliance includes Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP), Balochistan National Party (BNP), Sunni Ittehad Council, and Majlis Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen (MWM).
Political observers believe that Mushtaq Ahmad’s inclusion will further strengthen the opposition bloc and inject new momentum into its political activities.
In his remarks, Mushtaq Ahmad stated that the platform would play a vital role in the country’s political future by uniting forces committed to the rule of law and constitutional supremacy.
