Punjab Announces Modernization of Examination System Across All Educational Boards

**Lahore (Qudrat Daily):** The Punjab government has announced the transition of the examination system across all educational boards in the province to **modern technology**.
Chairman of the Punjab Examination Task Force, **Mazmil Mehmood**, told the media that **e-marking** will be introduced in all boards to ensure transparency and merit in the examination process.
He said the **pilot phase** of the project will begin in 2026 with **computer-based exams** for Matric and Intermediate students. All examination centers across the province will be equipped with a **digital attendance system**, and student attendance will be recorded via **biometric verification**. The digital reforms are planned to be **fully implemented in a phased manner over the next three years**.
Mazmil Mehmood added that a **centralized question bank** with standardized questions will be established for all educational boards to improve exam quality and ensure uniformity.
The Task Force Chairman emphasized that these reforms aim to **eliminate cheating and irregularities**, promote transparency, and provide students with a **fair and equitable examination system**.
