KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur Warns Federal Government Over Imposing Decisions

Peshawar: The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, has once again targeted the federal government, stating that it cannot impose its so-called decisions on the province. He emphasized that any new operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will not be accepted, and sent a clear message that border security remains the responsibility of the federal government.
In his statement, Gandapur reiterated that maintaining peace and fostering development in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the top priority. He asserted that the provincial government will go to any extent to restore law and order in the province. “The federal government cannot impose its so-called decisions on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” he said.
The Chief Minister further emphasized that decisions regarding Afghanistan cannot be made without consulting the provincial government. He also highlighted that the federal government is monopolizing the province’s resources, with funds not being allocated to the merged districts.
Gandapur warned that any new military operation in the province would be unacceptable, and conveyed a firm message to the federal government that border security is their responsibility. “If you are failing in your duty, the provincial police will take over security,” he added.
