Anchorperson Jasmeen Manzoor Accused of Sharing Fake Abuse Photos; Claims Spark Online Controversy

Lahore: Pakistani journalist and TV anchor Jasmeen Manzoor is at the center of controversy after a woman named Anum — who claims to be the current wife of Jasmeen’s ex-husband Saad Rafique — alleged that the domestic abuse images shared by Jasmeen on social media were fake.
In a video posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Anum questioned the authenticity of the photos, particularly pointing out a picture showing a swollen eye, which she claimed was fabricated using unrelated images.
This follows Jasmeen Manzoor’s recent allegations of severe domestic violence against her former husband. She had posted several pictures showing visible bruises and swelling on her face with the caption: “Yes, this is me. This is my story. A violent man destroyed my life. I leave my justice to Allah.”

Jasmeen also claimed to possess over 50 more images related to the alleged abuse and criticized the Pakistani judiciary, calling it “shameful” and “failed,” while stating that her ex-husband had been living comfortably at Jinnah Hospital for the past six months.
The case has stirred significant debate on social media, with public opinion divided between support for Jasmeen and skepticism regarding the validity of her claims. So far, no official statement or legal action has been reported from law enforcement or judicial authorities regarding the matter.
