Irfan Siddiqui Comments on Imran Khan’s Release and Political Situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Islamabad: Senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Irfan Siddiqui, stated that the release of Imran Khan is not dependent on his children or sisters, but on his own behavior and actions. Speaking in a private TV program, Siddiqui clarified that if Imran Khan’s children wish to engage in politics in Pakistan, they are free to do so within the legal framework, and no one would object.
He emphasized that the release of the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party will not be influenced by family pressure or political tactics but will entirely depend on his conduct. Siddiqui added that if Imran Khan’s children decide to enter politics and comply with legal procedures, they have every right to do so.
Addressing the current political situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Siddiqui also asserted that there is no discussion of a change in the provincial government. He mentioned that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is currently a coalition partner in the government.
Further praising former President Asif Ali Zardari, Siddiqui described him as a wise and experienced leader who, during his tenure, never created obstacles but instead allowed the government to move forward smoothly.
On the issue of rising sugar prices, Siddiqui assured that the government had taken immediate measures to address the crisis. He noted that the decision to import sugar was part of the effort to manage inflation and provide relief to the public, with the government committed to controlling inflation and improving the situation for the people.
