Pakistan Railways to Launch Modern Business Train; PM Shehbaz Sharif to Inaugurate on July 19

Karachi: Pakistan Railways has announced the launch of a state-of-the-art business train to enhance passenger convenience and upgrade travel standards. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to inaugurate the new train on July 19 at Lahore Railway Station.
According to railway officials, the existing Pak Business Express, operating between Karachi and Lahore, has been upgraded with 28 newly imported digital Chinese coaches. The revamped business train will feature free Wi-Fi, an international-standard dining car, and other modern amenities aimed at improving the passenger experience.
While details regarding any potential fare increase have not yet been disclosed, the initiative is part of a broader effort by Pakistan Railways to modernize its infrastructure and services. These efforts include enhancements to online ticket booking, live tracking apps, and the installation of escalators at Lahore Railway Station.
Additionally, the Railway Minister has announced a pilot project to offer free Wi-Fi at 40 railway stations across the country.
