JUI Rejects Vote Counting Process in NA-251, Terms it Organized Electoral Fraud

Quetta:Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Balochistan has completely rejected the ongoing vote counting process in NA-251, labeling it as a **deliberate and organized political fraud**. The party leadership has condemned the process, citing serious violations of electoral transparency, constitutional norms, and democratic principles.

According to **Maulana Abdul Wasay**, the vote counting in NA-251 was conducted under the supervision of a **biased and unconstitutional Returning Officer**, and the JUI was neither informed nor were its representatives allowed to be present during critical phases of the counting.

He claimed that when JUI representatives reached the counting venue, they found **ballot bags already opened**, indicating **pre-planned manipulation** and instructions from behind the scenes. They were verbally informed that no further constituencies would be opened, yet three were deliberately counted **in the absence of JUI observers**.

“This is not a technical error,” said Maulana Wasay, “but part of a well-thought-out conspiracy that tramples election laws, the constitution, and democratic ethics.”

He further revealed that the JUI had already lodged a **formal written objection** against the Returning Officer, who had expressed willingness to recuse himself but still supervised the entire process. This, he argued, **proves that the state machinery is serving specific interests rather than remaining neutral.**

Maulana Abdul Wasay also linked this incident to what he described as the **“electoral ambush” of February 8**, calling it a continuation of the same **anti-democratic plot**.

As several constituencies were counted without JUI’s knowledge or participation, the party has decided, after internal consultation, to **boycott the remaining counting process**. He clarified that the boycott is not merely a protest, but an **act of constitutional resistance** aimed at preserving the integrity of the democratic process.

He warned, “Our silence should not be mistaken for weakness. If we remain silent now, it would amount to compromising the democratic future of the coming generations.”

JUI demands that the **vote counting process in NA-251 be immediately halted**, and a **transparent, open, and fair recounting** of all constituencies be carried out in the presence of all stakeholders. Failing that, the party has stated it reserves the right to pursue **legal and constitutional action** at every level.

“This is not just a political party’s complaint,” Maulana Wasay concluded, “but a serious question about the future of our democratic system.”
