PTI Punjab Chief Organizer Alia Hamza Warns Action Against Absentee Leaders in Chairman’s Release Campaign

In a bold move to enforce party discipline, **Alia Hamza**, Chief Organizer of PTI Punjab, has decided to take **strict action** against **party members and office-bearers who failed to participate** in the recent campaign for the release of the **party founder**.
According to insider sources, **show-cause notices** will be issued to absentee leaders, and in the first phase, they will be asked to **submit formal explanations**. The matter was also raised in a recent **meeting of the party’s political committee**, where some members opposed the decision, arguing that such actions amid current political pressures may **further divide the party**.
Despite the dissent, Alia Hamza remains **adamant**. She asserted that **party discipline is non-negotiable**, stating:
> *”Any position we hold is because of the PTI founder. If people are afraid of court cases and jail, they should step down. When our leader and Bushra Bibi are behind bars, who are we to be afraid?”*
Some committee members reportedly criticized her stance as overly harsh, suggesting a more **reconciliatory approach** given the turbulent political climate.
However, sources claim that the **leadership has yet to issue a final directive**, and **more show-cause notices may follow** in the coming days as part of a broader **disciplinary crackdown**.
This development highlights **growing internal tensions** within PTI as it struggles to maintain unity and mobilize support amid increasing legal and political challenges.
