Samsung Confirms Three Galaxy S26 Models, Price Hike Possible

**Islamabad:** Samsung has inadvertently confirmed **three models of its 2026 flagship Galaxy S26 series**, while reports suggest the company is also considering a **potential price increase** for the new lineup.
A promotional PDF from **Samsung Colombia**, first reported by **SamMobile**, explicitly mentions the **Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra**. The document lists these models as eligible for a 0% interest installment plan via a specific credit card, marking the **first official confirmation** of the names and models expected to launch in February 2026.
Earlier rumors had suggested that Samsung might introduce a **Galaxy S26 Pro** as the base model and replace the Plus version with a **Galaxy S26 Edge**. However, due to lower sales and limited consumer interest in the Edge variant, Samsung appears to have retained the **traditional Plus branding**.
**Galaxy S26 Plus: Expected Features**
The S26 Plus is expected to closely resemble its predecessor, featuring a **6.66-inch display**, slightly smaller than the **6.7-inch screen** of the Galaxy S25 Plus. Initially, an OLED panel meant for the Edge model was considered, but Samsung decided to use a panel similar to the previous generation.
**Launch Date**
Rumors indicate that the **Galaxy S26 series will debut on February 25, 2026**, during the Galaxy Unpacked event at **7 PM CET**, with global sales starting **March 11, 2026**—a rare Wednesday release instead of the usual Friday launch.
**Price Hike Expected**
A possible increase in the Galaxy S26 pricing is anticipated. During **CES 2026**, Samsung Electronics co-CEO **TM Roh** cited global memory shortages and rising component costs as key factors. Samsung Global Marketing President **Won-Jin Lee** added that high memory prices would impact product costs. While the company aims to limit the burden on consumers, **price adjustments for the Galaxy S26 appear inevitable**.
