Good News for Kidney Disease Patients in Balochistan: Kidney Transplant Services Launched in Quetta

Quetta:In a significant development for patients suffering from kidney diseases in Balochistan, the Institute for Kidney and Bladder Diseases in Quetta has officially launched kidney transplant services.

This announcement was made by Dr. Fahim Khan, the Chief Executive Officer of the Institute for Kidney and Bladder Diseases, Government of Balochistan. Dr. Khan confirmed that the kidney transplant services are being provided in accordance with the Human Organ Transplant Act.

He explained that in the past, patients from Balochistan had to travel to other provinces for kidney transplants, incurring costs amounting to hundreds of thousands of rupees. However, with the new initiative, this life-saving service is now available in Balochistan itself, completely free of charge and with state-of-the-art facilities and expert medical supervision.

Dr. Fahim Khan urged patients to promptly visit the institute’s transplant registration desk to complete their registration and take advantage of this invaluable service.
