Balochistan Assembly Unanimously Passes Resolution Demanding Immediate End to Gas and Electricity Load Shedding

**Quetta:** The Balochistan Assembly has unanimously approved a resolution calling for the **immediate end to gas and electricity load shedding** in the province. The resolution was presented by **JUI-F member Asghar Ali Tareen** during a recent assembly session.
The resolution highlighted that prolonged gas shortages in winter and electricity outages in summer have severely disrupted the lives of the public. Despite assurances from **Sui Southern Gas Company** and **K-Electric (KE) authorities**, the situation has shown little improvement.
Asghar Ali Tareen stated that citizens are being deprived of basic utilities under the pretext of bill recovery, worsening conditions in both urban and rural areas.
Provincial Finance Minister **Mir Shoaib Nasirwani** described the issue as serious and proposed forming a committee to address the matter effectively with the federal government. Assembly member **Zarak Khan Mandokhail** criticized officials’ lack of interest, stating that bill recovery is the responsibility of the companies, not the government.
The **Speaker of the Assembly** ruled that the resolution be adopted as a **joint resolution of the House**, reflecting a united demand for immediate relief to the people of Balochistan.
