Sit-in Continues at Hockey Chowk, Quetta Over Missing Zaheer Baloch
Quetta: The Baloch Unity Committee, accompanied by relatives, continues their sit-in protest at Hockey Chowk against the non-recovery of Zaheer Baloch. Dr. Mahrang Baloch, central organizer of the Baloch Unity Committee, stated that authorities have until 4 PM today to produce Zaheer Baloch before the public. Should he be found culpable, they demand his presentation in court. Additionally, roads in and around Quetta city will be closed. Meanwhile, the Baloch Unity Committee affirmed in their statement that their protest camp in Quetta enters its 12th day, emphasizing their protest against the disappearance of Zaheer Ahmed.
They further noted over 37 demonstrators are illegally detained and many are injured, urging the Balochistan government to be accountable for the violence against peaceful protesters. They asserted that besides protests and sit-ins, the Baloch have no alternative but to resist this oppression vigorously. Mahrang Baloch called upon the Baloch people, including mothers and sisters, to stand together in solidarity and exhibit resilience in the face of adversity.
