Second Total Lunar Eclipse of the Year Tonight, Visible in Pakistan

KARACHI: The second **total lunar eclipse of 2025** will occur tonight and will be visible across Pakistan, according to the Meteorological Department.

The eclipse will begin at **8:28 PM** when the moonlight starts to dim. The **partial eclipse** will commence at **9:27 PM**, followed by the **total lunar eclipse** starting at **10:31 PM**. The eclipse will reach its **peak** at **11:12 PM**.

The celestial event will gradually conclude, with the eclipse ending completely at **1:55 AM on September 8**.

Meanwhile, officials noted that the year’s **second and final partial solar eclipse** will take place on **September 21–22**, but it will not be visible from Pakistan.
