Major Development in Ameer Balaj Murder Case After Tyfi Butt’s Death in Alleged Police Encounter
LAHORE: A significant development emerged in the **Ameer Balaj murder case** during a hearing at the Lahore Sessions Court, as the court **cancelled the interim bail** of **Aqeel alias Gogi Butt** due to non-appearance.
The court dismissed Gogi Butt’s interim bail **on grounds of non-pursuance**, while the case remains registered at **Chuhng Police Station**. Gogi Butt, who had previously been granted interim bail, failed to appear before the court on Monday.
The case took a new turn following the **alleged police encounter** that resulted in the death of **Khawaja Tareef Gulshan alias Tyfi Butt** two days earlier in **Rahim Yar Khan**.
According to sources, Tyfi Butt was being transferred to Lahore when his accomplices ambushed the police convoy in **Kot Sabzal, Sadiqabad**, helping him escape custody. Police claim that during the exchange of fire, Tyfi Butt was **killed by bullets fired by his own associates** while attempting to flee.
