Every Pakistani Is Ready to Defend the Nation, War Will Be India’s Suicide: Sharjeel Memon

KARACHI: Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has warned that any desire for war by India would prove to be suicidal, emphasizing that every citizen of Pakistan is ready to defend the homeland. Addressing a press conference, Memon strongly condemned Indian aggression and propaganda against Pakistan.
Memon stated that over the past two decades, more than 70,000 people have been martyred due to Indian-sponsored terrorism, including former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. He also referenced the Army Public School (APS) attack as one of the worst tragedies in modern history, indirectly attributing blame to Indian interference.
He accused India of fabricating events and consistently making baseless allegations against Pakistan without presenting any concrete evidence. He also blamed India for supporting terrorism in Karachi and Balochistan.
Highlighting the plight of Kashmiris, Memon said that India’s actions in Kashmir are widely known, with thousands of innocent lives lost and political leaders imprisoned. He emphasized that many Kashmiris do not wish to live under Indian rule but are being forcibly held.
“India is an expert in global propaganda and routinely violates international resolutions,” Memon said. “India has harmed its minorities and has committed acts of terrorism that are well documented globally.”
Sharjeel Memon reiterated that the recent conflict scenario was a drama orchestrated by India, and demanded an independent investigation into all accusations leveled against Pakistan.
“Pakistan is not afraid of Modi’s government,” he asserted. “If India wants war, it should be ready to face 250 million Pakistanis. We are fully prepared to respond to any military aggression.”
He added that Pakistan is not an ordinary country—it is a nuclear power developed under the leadership of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and possesses one of the best armed forces in the world.
Commenting on India’s actions against Pakistani media, Memon criticized the blocking of Pakistani channels, calling it a sign of fear and insecurity within India.
“Pakistan is a peaceful country, but any hostile move against it will be remembered forever,” he warned. Referring to the Indus Waters Treaty, Memon reiterated that any violation by India would be met with a strong response, quoting Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto’s statement: “If water doesn’t flow, blood will.”
He concluded by stating that Pakistan will respond to every act of aggression with full force and resolve.
