Jasprit Bumrah’s Wife Slams Social Media Users for Criticizing Their Toddler Son

Mumbai: Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah’s wife, Sanjana Ganesan, has raised her voice against the cruel trolling of their one-and-a-half-year-old son on social media. The incident took place after a recent IPL match in which Mumbai Indians defeated Lucknow Super Giants. During the match, when the camera captured their son Angad’s innocent expressions, some social media users wasted no time in mocking the child.
In response to the heartless criticism, Sanjana Ganesan shared a strong message on Instagram. She stated that it was extremely disappointing to make assumptions about a small child based on a few seconds of video footage. Sanjana firmly stated, “Our son is not your source of entertainment.”
Sanjana further clarified in her post that she and Jasprit were making every effort to shield their son from the harsh realities of social media. She acknowledged that bringing their child to a cricket stadium, where cameras are constantly on the lookout, was challenging, but their presence there was solely to support Jasprit and not to become a source of amusement for others.
Additionally, Sanjana took a dig at those who used serious terms like “depression patient” while making fun of Angad’s expressions. She condemned the use of such language, pointing out that it reflected how society had deteriorated morally. Sanjana’s message was clear: “You know nothing about our son or our lives, so keep your opinions to yourselves.”
Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan tied the knot in March 2021, and their son Angad was born in September 2023. The couple is widely popular among cricket fans in India. Sanjana’s emotional response was driven by the fact that Angad is just a toddler, and such attacks on such a young child are deeply painful.
Meanwhile, despite facing this personal issue off the field, Jasprit Bumrah continued to deliver exceptional performances on the field. In an important match played on Sunday, Bumrah took four wickets against Lucknow, leading Mumbai Indians to a 54-run victory. With this remarkable performance, he became the highest wicket-taker for Mumbai Indians, having represented the team in 139 matches so far.
