Aisam-ul-Haq Wins Mixed Doubles Title at ITF Masters World Championships

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi has won the mixed doubles title at the ITF Masters World Championships alongside Nina Hermann.
Aisam-ul-Haq and Nina Hermann defeated Portugal’s top-seeded pair, Fred Gil and Rita Freitas, 6-4, 6-3 in the final to claim the world title.
Aisam-ul-Haq also featured in the men’s doubles final alongside Aqeel Khan, but the Pakistani pair were defeated by France’s Jacques Gleyse and Jean-Baptiste Renault.
Pakistan finished the ITF Masters World Championships with four medals — one gold, two silver and one bronze.
Aqeel Khan won a bronze medal in the 40+ mixed doubles category alongside Germany’s Eline Aranas Roth.
Meanwhile, Aisam-ul-Haq and Aqeel Khan secured a silver medal in the 45+ men’s doubles category.
