KP CM Ali Amin Gandapur Condemns Inhumane Treatment of PTI Leaders and Family Members

Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, has strongly condemned the inhumane treatment of Imran Khan’s sisters and other PTI leaders by the police at Adiala Jail. In a statement, Gandapur expressed deep concerns over the illegal detention and abandonment of Imran Khan’s sisters, Hamid Raza, and others, calling it “extremely regrettable and condemnable.” He emphasized that the police’s treatment of women in this manner is a prime example of state repression, violence, and fascism.
He remarked that the government, led by what he termed the “fake government,” is violating human rights by subjecting women to such unjust behavior. Gandapur assured that such actions would not weaken their resolve, stating that PTI has been resisting the fascism of the current government and will continue to do so. He also stressed that the struggle will persist until the release of the PTI Chairman, Imran Khan, who he believes is unjustly imprisoned.
Gandapur called on the judiciary to take note of these violations of human rights and judicial orders, particularly the denial of visitation rights to Imran Khan’s family and party leaders, which he described as a blatant violation of the Constitution and fundamental rights.
**Bureaucratic and Mafia Resistance to Reforms in Mines and Minerals Act: Barrister Saif**
Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Information Adviser, Barrister Saif, commented on the resistance to proposed amendments in the Mines and Minerals Act. He accused the “mafia” of attempting to sabotage the Chief Minister’s reform agenda, especially in the mining sector. Barrister Saif argued that these amendments are crucial to freeing the sector from the clutches of the mafia and making it more profitable.
He further criticized the federal government, stating that PTI does not recognize the federal government’s legitimacy and questioned how the provincial government could cede its powers to it. Saif affirmed that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government would not bow to the mafia in any sector and will continue with reforms to strengthen the province’s resources. He assured that the amendments would be presented in the provincial assembly, and opposition views would be considered during the process.
