Balochistan PPP Leader Abdul Quddus Bizenjo Criticizes Conspiracy Behind Deteriorating Law and Order
Quetta:Former Balochistan Chief Minister and PPP Senator **Abdul Quddus Bizenjo** has expressed concern over the deteriorating security situation in Balochistan, stating that the current political environment in the province is not conducive to the **two-and-a-half-year power-sharing formula** between the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) (PML-N).
Speaking to the media after a session of the Balochistan Assembly, Bizenjo claimed that there was a deliberate conspiracy to destabilize the province and that innocent people were being targeted as part of a larger agenda. He emphasized that **those responsible for harming innocent civilians** should not be granted any leniency, and pointed out that many local people were unknowingly being manipulated by external forces.
Regarding political alliances, Bizenjo stated that while the **PPP** is supporting **PML-N** at the federal level, they are currently coalition partners in Balochistan. He also hinted that if the **PML-N** agreed to make **Bilawal Bhutto Zardari** the Prime Minister after two and a half years, PPP would be willing to hand over the position of Chief Minister to the PML-N in the province.
He further explained that the **current provincial government** is focused on tackling the numerous challenges Balochistan faces, especially in terms of **security** and **development**. “For the past two decades, Balochistan has been grappling with **terrorism**, with security forces, **Levis**, police, and civilians all making tremendous sacrifices. Insurgency has taken a heavy toll on the province, preventing us from achieving significant progress.”
Bizenjo also pointed out that in the last six months, the situation had worsened, attributing it to a well-organized conspiracy aimed at hindering the province’s development. “Hostile forces do not want Balochistan to progress, and we must take stronger actions against those behind these attacks on innocent lives,” he added.
He concluded by reaffirming the efforts of **security forces** and the provincial government in combating terrorism and restoring peace in the province.
