Imran Khan Reveals 85% Vision Loss in Right Eye in Report Submitted to Supreme Court

Islamabad: A report detailing the facilities available to PTI founder Imran Khan in Adiala Jail has revealed that the former Prime Minister’s right eye vision has been reduced to only 15 percent.

According to the report, Khan requested to be examined by his personal doctors, Dr. Faisal Sultan and Dr. Asim Yousaf, or any other specialist. Due to his solitary confinement and lack of access to television, the Supreme Court also ordered that books be provided to him.

The report notes that Khan has expressed no concern regarding his personal security. The compound he uses is monitored with around ten CCTV cameras, although none are installed inside his cell. His daily routine includes breakfast around 9:45 am, recitation of the Holy Quran for about an hour at 11:30 am, and limited physical exercise using the available equipment. He is allowed to walk in a designated shed within the secure compound after a bath at 1:15 pm, with lunch served between 3:30 and 4:00 pm.

Expenses for his meals are reportedly borne by Khan’s family. The report details that his cell is equipped with three high-voltage bulbs, a ceiling fan, a blower heater, two tables, a wall clock, a bed, a chair, and a 32-inch TV (found non-functional). Basic amenities include about 100 books, exercise dumbbells, toiletries, prayer materials, and two towels.

The report further revealed that until October 2025, Khan’s vision in both eyes was normal (6×6). However, over the past few months, his right eye deteriorated, initially with blurriness and reduced clarity, despite multiple complaints to jail authorities. Eventually, his right eye suffered a severe clot, causing irreversible damage. Even after treatment—including an injection administered by Dr. Muhammad Arif, a specialist ophthalmologist at PIMS—his right eye vision remains limited to 15 percent.

The report underscores Khan’s medical concerns and requests for specialist care while detailing his daily life and facilities in custody.
