Federal and Provincial Governments Issue Notification for Special Courts

Islamabad: The Ministry of Law has issued a notification for the establishment of special courts across the federation and all four provinces. According to the official statement, these courts have been set up under the Lawyers Welfare and Protection Act 2023.
The notification further states that this decision was made after consultation with the Chief Justices of the High Courts. It is worth noting that, in addition to the special courts for counter-terrorism and anti-narcotics, special courts under the PECA Act and Cipher Act are already operational across the country.
