India Agrees to Play in Champions Trophy Under Fusion Formula, Says Indian Media

Islamabad: India has reportedly agreed to participate in next year’s ICC Champions Trophy under a “Fusion Formula,” according to Indian media. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has reportedly accepted the terms of the new formula, which will see the Champions Trophy matches played in both Pakistan and Dubai.
Under this formula, all of India’s matches will be held in Dubai, while the remaining matches will be played in Pakistan. This agreement will be valid for all upcoming ICC events until 2027, including the Women’s ODI World Cup and the Men’s T20 World Cup.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had proposed the “Partnership or Fusion Formula” as a solution to the issue of hosting the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. Initially, the event was scheduled to be held in Pakistan, but India had refused to send its team to Pakistan citing security concerns.
The PCB has made it clear that if India does not come to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy, Pakistan will not participate in any future tournaments involving India.
