Federal Minister Amir Muqam Claims PTI’s Protests Are a “Failure,” Says It Marks the End for the Party

Islamabad:Federal Minister Amir Muqam has claimed that the people of Pakistan have rejected Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) ongoing protests, stating that the party’s latest protest will be its “final call” leading to its demise. In a press conference, Muqam highlighted that numerous PTI members have reached out to the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), expressing interest in contesting the upcoming elections on PML-N tickets.

Muqam criticized PTI’s protests, emphasizing that they have caused significant hardships for the public, particularly traders and small businesses. “The people are facing immense difficulties, and businesses across the country are being harmed. PTI wants to paralyze the entire country with their protests,” he said.

He further questioned the purpose of PTI’s demonstrations, asking, “Did PTI bring 900,000 people from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Islamabad? What exactly is their goal? The people of Pakistan know there is no purpose behind these protests.” He accused PTI of engaging in a politics of chaos, saying that the party’s leadership, especially the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is more focused on protests than addressing the province’s issues.

“PTI is creating chaos in the country. Their leader, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, is focused only on protesting and storming Islamabad, instead of dealing with the problems of his province,” Muqam added.

The federal minister also expressed concern over the use of provincial government resources in PTI’s protests. He alleged that provincial government employees were being mobilized for demonstrations, which he described as an abuse of state resources. “If the provincial government does not change its approach, we will protest against them,” Muqam warned.

Muqam also criticized PTI’s leaders for their international rhetoric, particularly their criticism of foreign countries. He pointed out that while foreign dignitaries are visiting Pakistan, PTI continues to protest, undermining the country’s international relations. He also referred to controversial remarks made by PTI leader Bushra Bibi against a friendly country, suggesting that PTI was uncomfortable with Pakistan’s progress. “PTI is upset because Pakistan is developing and improving,” he said.

In a final statement, Muqam predicted that PTI’s internal turmoil and disarray would mark the end of the party. “It is beyond comprehension that a party now has multiple chairmen. This is the last call for PTI’s demise,” he said, adding that many PTI members had already contacted PML-N, expressing their desire to join the ruling party for the upcoming elections.

Muqam’s remarks reflect the growing political divide between the ruling government and PTI, as both sides continue to accuse each other of undermining national stability and progress.
