Balochistan Assembly Passes Resolution Praising PM Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for “Battle of Truth” Victory

Quetta: The Balochistan Assembly on Friday unanimously passed a congratulatory resolution paying tribute to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for their leadership during what lawmakers described as the “Battle of Truth” victory.
The resolution was presented by Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti after procedural requirements under assembly rules were suspended through a motion moved by the parliamentary secretary for law and parliamentary affairs.
Presenting the joint resolution, the chief minister praised Pakistan’s armed forces — including the army, navy, and air force — for defending the country, safeguarding national security, and responding forcefully to what he termed enemy aggression.
He claimed that the Pakistan Air Force shot down seven enemy aircraft, destroyed several military installations and defense systems, and compelled opposing forces to raise white flags at some positions.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti described the development as a historic turning point that strengthened Pakistan’s strategic resolve and redefined the regional balance of power. He stated that the armed forces had demonstrated exceptional preparedness, professionalism, and operational capability.
The resolution reiterated that Pakistan is a peaceful country but would make every sacrifice necessary to defend its sovereignty, national dignity, and security.
The chief minister also commended the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for what he called timely decisions and effective leadership during the conflict.
During the debate, Provincial Minister for Planning and Development Mir Zahoor Buledi said Pakistan had successfully countered India’s military capabilities and neutralized advanced defense technology.
Opposition Leader Mir Younis Aziz Zehri, National Party lawmaker Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch, and several treasury and opposition members also spoke in support of the resolution, praising the armed forces and political leadership.
Provincial Minister Mir Sadiq Umrani claimed that Pakistan’s strategy under Field Marshal Asim Munir ensured victory, while other lawmakers said the nation stood united behind the armed forces.
The assembly eventually adopted the resolution unanimously as a joint resolution of the house.
