JUI Leader Maulana Abdul Khaliq Damar Killed in Land Dispute Firing in Pishin

Pishin: A senior local leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and prominent tribal figure, Maulana Abdul Khaliq Damar, was killed in a firing incident linked to a land dispute in the Khanozai area of Pishin district.
According to police officials, tensions erupted between two groups over a property ownership dispute, which led to a heated argument. During the confrontation, a man identified as Mehrab Khan Damar allegedly opened fire, critically injuring Maulana Abdul Khaliq Damar.
The injured cleric was immediately shifted to Civil Hospital Khanozai for treatment, but he later succumbed to his injuries.
The incident has cast a shadow of grief across the area, with political, tribal, and religious circles expressing deep sorrow over the death of the influential religious and social figure.
Khanozai police have registered a case and launched raids to arrest the suspects involved in the shooting. Authorities have also tightened security arrangements in the area to prevent further tensions and appealed to residents to maintain peace and order.
