QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said there are no no-go areas in the province and that the people of Balochistan stand firmly with the state and security forces.
The chief minister made these remarks while holding an open court for the third consecutive day, hearing complaints from citizens arriving from different districts and issuing directives to relevant authorities for their prompt resolution.
During the session, Bugti also met tribal elders and held detailed discussions on regional issues. He directed officials to take immediate action on public complaints and ensure that citizens’ problems were addressed without unnecessary delays.
Bugti said members of both the government and opposition regularly visited their constituencies and participated in local events across the province.
He also said concerted efforts had been made to secure federal funding for an important highway connecting Taunsa in Punjab with Balochistan.
Orders Issued to Reopen Closed Schools
The chief minister issued special instructions to immediately reopen all closed government schools in areas incorporated into Barkhan district, including Andar Pahor, Mariri Wah and Rarah Sham.
He emphasised that the provincial government was giving equal importance to girls’ education and was working on a special pilot project to achieve this objective.
Bugti also ordered a survey for the construction of a road linking Chhapar National Highway with Kharar Buzdar. He said the proposed road would provide Balochistan with another alternative route to Punjab and significantly boost commercial activities.
