Oil Prices Rise for Fourth Straight Session Amid US-Iran Tensions

LONDON:Crude oil prices in the global market have risen for a fourth consecutive session amid escalating tensions between the United States and Iran.

According to foreign media reports, Brent crude prices have approached **$100 per barrel** in the international market.

Brent crude futures rose by **$1.57, or 1.6 percent**, to **$99.49 per barrel**.

US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude also increased by **$1.60, or 1.72 percent**, reaching **$94.63 per barrel**.

The latest rise in oil prices followed reports of US attacks on Iranian tankers and subsequent Iranian strikes on US military installations in the Gulf.

According to the report, Brent crude prices have increased by approximately **25 percent since the beginning of August**, reflecting growing concerns over potential disruptions to global oil supplies amid the escalating conflict.
