Good News for Citizens: Passport Delivery Counters to Remain Open on Saturdays Across Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Directorate General of Immigration & Passports has announced that passport delivery counters at offices across Pakistan will remain open every Saturday to facilitate citizens awaiting the collection of their passports.

According to a notification issued by the passport authorities, the special measure has been introduced to facilitate citizens and ensure the prompt delivery of passports that have already been prepared.

Under the arrangement, delivery counters at passport offices nationwide will remain open continuously from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every Saturday. The special Saturday service will continue for two months, providing relief to working and otherwise busy citizens who are unable to visit passport offices during regular working days.

The Directorate has also issued an important warning to citizens. All passports that have remained at passport offices for more than six months without being collected will be cancelled and destroyed in accordance with government policy.

Authorities have urged citizens to take advantage of the special Saturday facility and collect their prepared passports from their respective passport offices as soon as possible.
