Heavy Rain Forecast for Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI:The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rainfall in Rawalpindi, with the city currently experiencing cloudy weather.

According to the weather department, **heavy rain is expected in the city**, prompting authorities to take precautionary measures.

The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) said additional teams have been deployed in low-lying areas. Personnel from **Rescue 1122, WASA and Civil Defence** have also been stationed around Nullah Lai.

Authorities are closely monitoring Nullah Lai as well as other drains across the city. In view of the possibility of an emergency situation, **staff leave has also been cancelled** to ensure immediate response and preparedness.
