Kuwaiti Defence Minister Meets Field Marshal Asim Munir, Agrees to Expand Defence Cooperation

ISLAMABAD: A high-level Kuwaiti delegation led by Defence Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah visited General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi and held a meeting with Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security and bilateral defence cooperation.
The Kuwaiti delegation also included Chief of the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces Lieutenant General Khaled Daraj Saad Al-Sheryan.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening institutional ties and expanding bilateral defence cooperation.
The Kuwaiti delegation appreciated the professionalism and operational expertise of Pakistan’s armed forces, as well as their contributions towards regional peace and stability.
The meeting was described as an important step towards further strengthening the longstanding and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Kuwait and consolidating their mutually beneficial defence partnership.
Both sides expressed the hope that enhanced defence cooperation would contribute to regional security, peace and stability.
