Pakistan Receives Second LNG Cargo from Qatar Within Three Days

KARACHI: Pakistan has received its second liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo from Qatar within three days, as authorities move to secure energy supplies amid regional tensions and rising electricity shortages.
According to details, the government has accelerated efforts to stabilize fuel supplies in response to potential disruptions linked to regional geopolitical tensions affecting energy markets.
Officials said the LNG carrier “Muhzam,” carrying approximately 160,000 cubic meters of liquefied natural gas, docked at the Pakistan Gas Port Consortium Limited terminal at Port Qasim, Karachi.
Earlier, on May 13, another LNG vessel named “Al Kharsaah” had berthed at the Engro LNG terminal, marking a steady flow of imports from Qatar.
Authorities stated that these shipments are part of ongoing measures to ensure uninterrupted gas supply for power generation and industrial use across the country.
