Road to Makkah Project: First Flight from Lahore Prepared, Satisfaction Expressed Over Hajj Arrangements

Islamabad: A high-level review meeting on Hajj arrangements was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, where preparations for the first flight from Lahore under the “Road to Makkah” project were finalized.
According to details, the meeting also reviewed overall preparations for the Hajj operations. Senior officials including Secretary Religious Affairs Abrar Ahmed Mirza, Additional Secretary Dr. Sajid Mehmood Chauhan, and Director General Hajj Abdul Wahab Somro attended the session.
The minister directed that hospitals and dispensaries in Makkah and Madinah must be fully operational before the arrival of pilgrims to ensure timely medical assistance for Pakistani Hajj pilgrims.
He emphasized that the best possible arrangements should be ensured for Pakistani pilgrims and instructed all relevant departments to maintain effective coordination.
Officials briefed the meeting that special attention has been given to the training of Hajj volunteers to better guide pilgrims during their journey.
The minister expressed satisfaction over arrangements at Hajj camps, including training sessions, vaccination facilities, distribution of gifts, and other services being provided to pilgrims.
Sardar Muhammad Yousaf urged pilgrims to strictly follow the instructions of Hajj volunteers to maintain discipline during the pilgrimage. He also stressed adherence to Saudi laws to enhance Pakistan’s reputation internationally.
The minister appreciated the cooperation of the Saudi Minister for Hajj and the Saudi Ambassador in ensuring smooth arrangements for Pakistani pilgrims.
