China Agreed Not to Sell Weapons to Iran, Says Trump Ahead of Planned Xi Meeting

Washington: Former U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that China has agreed not to sell weapons to Iran, adding that he is expected to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping in the coming weeks.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said the United States and China are working together effectively, although he warned that America is “also highly capable if conflict becomes necessary.”
He stated that during his upcoming visit to China, he expects a warm reception from President Xi Jinping, and emphasized that both countries are cooperating in a “smart and constructive manner.”
Trump further claimed that China is pleased with the U.S. decision to keep the Strait of Hormuz open permanently, saying the move benefits both China and the wider world.
He added that China has agreed not to supply weapons to Iran, describing it as a positive development in ongoing diplomatic engagements.
Despite highlighting cooperation, Trump also warned that the United States remains fully prepared for confrontation if required, stating that the country is more capable than any other in such scenarios.
