Chocolate Shortage Looms in Europe as 12 Tons Go Missing Ahead of Easter

London (Qudrat Daily) – Just ahead of the Easter holiday, Europe faces a potential chocolate shortage after a major shipment of nearly 12 tons of chocolate was reported missing. The consignment, belonging to a well-known brand, went missing during transit, raising concerns about supply disruptions in key markets.

According to reports, a truck carrying hundreds of thousands of chocolate bars was traveling from central Italy to Poland when it was targeted by unidentified individuals. The company confirmed that both the truck and its entire cargo remain unrecovered.

The shipment reportedly contained over 413,000 individual chocolate units, being transported between various production and distribution centers. Investigations are underway in collaboration with relevant authorities and logistics partners to locate the missing cargo.

Demand for chocolate typically spikes in European markets during Easter, and this incident has raised alarm over potential shortages. The company has warned that the theft could affect the availability of specific products, making it difficult for consumers to find their favorite chocolate.

Authorities also caution that the stolen chocolate could appear in informal markets, potentially impacting both the supply chain and retail systems. Investigations are ongoing, with officials working to release full details of the incident soon.
